Royalty.

Not a single person, outside of the 'respective' families/friends, should give a crap about this 'royal wedding' garbage. You think they care if your bills get paid, get a life threatening illness or anything of the sort? Absolutely not. Do you think they care about the epically devastating tornadoes ripping apart the southern US? No way.

Do not waste your time or energy with these 'celebrities' or their meaningless, pathetic lives. Get away from your television and make a difference.

Worry about your own life.

The Path...

CDs are slated to arrive here Monday. Of course, assuming nothing stupid happens with shipping (which as anyone knows, CAN in fact happen). Since they are slated to arrive Monday after typical USPS hours, we will spend Monday packing up the box-sets and will ship them all on Tuesday.

If all works as planned, Tuesday is the day to finally get this thing in your hands. If anything changes, we will be sure to announce it.

Updates and things of updated nature.

Greetings to all and to all a good morning (central time in these parts). A few updates to speak of, so shall we speak? We shall.

First, rumor has it that The Path...CDs should be arriving to the EEE office either this week OR next week. Once they come in, box-sets will be dispatched immediately. Both this page AND the EEE site will be updated once this sets into motion.

Second, we have completed our first post-Path release entitled 'Parallaxis'. It has nothing to do with computers for those who may ask. From ye ol' Wikipedia;

"Parallax is an apparent displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines. The term is derived from the Greek παράλλαξις (parallaxis), meaning "alteration". Nearby objects have a larger parallax than more distant objects when observed from different positions, so parallax can be used to determine distances."

This release sees us traversing into more melodic and (gasp) symphonic territory. Deal with it. Will be up for pre-order at EEE sometime very soon.

Third (and final update statement for today), once in a good while we get something that takes us aback. This was one of those moments. We were graced by two lovely folk from DeKalb a while back when we were working a merch table at the Alcest concert in Chicago, lovely people. We were even more surprised to discover they had put a little art project together for Njiqahdda. Flattered? You bet your bloody bottom we are.

To think that anyone would take time out of their busy day to dedicate/create something purely out of the fact that we had created something is a bit mind-bending. But flattering and incredibly humbling to say the least. We would like to thank Savannah Ramsey for putting this together (Robert for supplying the music, Savannah for supplying the artistry). We are your humble servants.

A statement regarding this piece from Savannah Ramsey;

"This piece of work was truly organic. I put on the headphones, listening to Njiqahdda. My husband wanted some artwork inspired by the music. I wasn’t expecting to lose myself in it, but the music guided my hand. The whole process took a life of it’s own for about three hours, evolving with each tempo change. It was like free association with a paintbrush. I started to see what it was becoming, where it was going. I threw down the paintbrushes and let loose with the palette knife. All I could see was controlled chaos, which is what we are as beings on an elemental level. Without life there is no understanding, no knowledge, and without death there’s no transcendence to a higher existence of being, and we can’t know what it means to be alive.
Life is represented at the top right and death at the bottom left. Life has only a small spark of light, but it is strong. Death is not supposed to be this looming ominous figure; it just exists. Both life and death are floating together in a primordial space. The rings around them intertwine like two atoms dancing together in the beginning of time. They are coming together sharing their electrons (likeness) to form a chemical bond. It is the truth we know that grounds us; we live and we die, and life will continue on, no matter how small the spark."

Well, that is all for now, until next time...keep your nose clean and keep your 3-punch combos quick and strong.

Updates on The Path...

There were some issues at the pressing plant that have caused a brief delay in the album release. If all continues to work well, the new album + box sets will be ready to ship in approximately 2 weeks. Apologies to all who have patiently waited, but we can assure you that your patience will be rewarded when the album reaches you.
